Awesome place to have something when in a rush. Their customer service is efficient, pricing is reasonable, excellent mood. I highly recommend this spot.

The lady in the picture is so nice, they have some of the freshest sushi I have ever tasted, ask for the Salmon sushi and the College Point Roll, you will never be disappointed. Extremely consistent taste, and the salmon is buttery soft. Been going here for 12 years.

My family has been going to Akiyama since it opened, and it's been a favorite all that time. The staff is friendly and always remembers our favorites, and the food is top notch, and the prices are quite good. Highly recommended, wonderful family and neighborhood spot.

I go almost every Friday! My favorites are the Sushi Boy, Udon noodle soup with the shrimp and the tempura lunch boss special . The ladies working there are very friendly and attentive.

This spot never fails to deliver. They serve great food for reasonable pricing, there no long wait even when they are loaded.

We came here because we happened to be in the area and looked up sushi on google maps. We were gladly surprised. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious and for a great price. Very happy overall. We will definitely be back!

Decent sushi place but it ends there. They claim a 2 hour time limit for the unlimited sushi & sake but don't expect that. We were refused service after 1.5 hours with them claiming we had been there for over 2 with no lenience. Absolutely unacceptable. Convenience for the staff is weighted over guest experience. Additionally, an 18% tip is added but their math is wrong. The tip they add is actually 21.4% so expect that. Not a huge deal but trust was continuously broken all the way through. Very disappointed. Money is definitely the object with this one. Won't be back again.

Really good and tasty Sushi. Didn't give a five cause sushi pizza had to much spice or wasabi and wasn't able to enjoy the whole sushi pizza.

My family and I love the food from this restaurant. I have dined here with my wife and we have loved the food. It's a small but cozy restaurant and the service is great. I especially enjoy the tuna tartar

The salmon teriyaki here is something special. I don't know what it is about it but it is very good! It's not exactly authentic Japanese but the majority of Japanese restaurants in the US aren't. But man oh man go and get the salmon teriyaki!!

Akiyama never disappoints! Wonderful sushi, cozy family style setting, friendly staff, delicious food!! This is a neighborhood staple. Definitely check it out if you are in the area or live in CP. My wife and I have been going here since 2003 and wouldn't be loyal customers if they couldn't deliver consistently fresh sushi every time. Thank you, Akiyama! For a job well done.

Very nice neighborhood sushi restaurant. It is kind of like a neighborhood "cheers". Once you have gone in a few times the owner and the staff know and welcome you and remember your preferences.

Great sushi! My friend had her first sushi experience at this place nearly a decade ago. The sushi is freshly made and tastes delicious. This is a nice neighborhood spot for some good sushi. It is fairly close to me and I order from here when I do not want to stay in the neighborhood and not go anywhere far. I like how there is a large parking lot so you do not need to worry about parking your car.

Got the unaju. Very good, comes with pickled vegetables (not stated on menu). The skin was removed which I was very happy about; I have tried broiled eel at many Japanese restaurants and some do not do that extra step. Sampled some of the upon with shrimp tempura and chicken. Also very tasty.

Really sweet energy from the servers. Food is ok. The dish I had wasn't bad. Don't have the chicken sushi. It's pretty bad.
